From the FM-1 to this page

Plug the FM-1 into this computer over USB, get the sound you want on it, then press SAVE and then GLO. The screen says SOUND SENT and the sound lands here as text: every control's value, the same text the emulator's Copy sound makes.

Chrome or Edge, with MIDI allowed when the browser asks. Firmware 0.7.5 or later.

What to do with it

• Keep it: paste the text anywhere. It is the whole sound.
• Send it in: the button above opens a new issue on GitHub with the text filled in. Say how you play it. Sounds sent in may become presets, with a credit.
• Ask for something: an idea rather than a sound goes in an issue too, and lands on the ideas page.
• Hear it anywhere: the values are the controls. Dial them into the emulator or another FM-1, page by page.

The FM-1 sends the sound as one SysEx message (manufacturer id 7D, then "AU"). A MIDI monitor app catches it too; this page just does the decoding.
