Mouse and touch

  • Drag a knob up or down, or use the scroll wheel over it.
  • Click or touch buttons and keys; several fingers at once work on a touch screen.
  • Shift-click (or right-click) a button holds it down, click again to let go: hold HOME this way to pick tones with the keys.

Keyboard

  • White keys 1–8: Q–I, 9–16: A–K. Black keys: 1–0, -.
  • Space PLAY (hold), Enter REC (learn), Shift SEL, Esc HOME, Z / X OCT− / OCT+.
  • ↑ ↓ turn SELECT (the ribbon: a pitch bend that springs back), ← → PRESETS (the sounds).

MIDI and saving

Pick your controller or sequencer under MIDI in: notes, aftertouch, CCs, program change and clock reach the firmware exactly as on the FM-1, and the line beside it shows what arrives. The settings stay in this browser. Copy sound puts the sound as it is now on the clipboard as text, every control's value, to keep, to share, or to send in for a preset. It is the firmware, not a recording: what you hear is AURORA running at the FM-1's 44.1 kHz.
